See all our other games for sale, right now, at www.LyonsArcade.com !

Lyons Arcade buys and sells classic arcade games and pinball machines in our showroom and shop in downtown Rock Hill, SC. We typically keep in stock between 40 and 50 arcade games and pinball machines, and from time to time have a jukebox or two for sale.

Our store is located at 139 Caldwell St., Rock Hill, SC 29730. We also function as a vintage video game store! We sell all the classic Nintendo, Sega, Atari, Sony, and Microsoft games and systems.

Our videos on our channel are videos we shoot after finishing up our games for sale; we test play them and take pictures and video of how they turned out. We then use the pictures to advertise the games for sale, and upload the video to this channel on youtube!

What this means is that sometimes our videos show games that have actually already sold!

The game has outputs for "3" sound channels (with a sub bass speaker being optional) as you said only the effects channel is connected in that cabinet,, assume the second channel is the music ('Dover by Loli Jackson") . see "Surf Planet 60fps" the third sound channel is set with a lo pass bass crossover driving the optional third sub bass channel,, this requires a speaker that can reproduce low freq bass.. yes it can be linked to a second game unit for 2 player competitions.. its a quite challenging until you memorize level shortcuts , wax power ups = speed , not enough speed means you can't make the shortcut jump gaps .. the game manual https://www.gamesdatabase.org/Media/SYSTEM/Arcade/Manual/formated/Surf_Planet_-1997-_Gaelco.pdf

I have never seen this game until now. I love the shape of that old Stern Cabinet. Makes me have a Tom Petty flash back when he tipped over an Astro Invaders Cabinet in the "you got lucky" video. Cool blast from the past.

Looking at videos of emulation and more functional cabinets, it sounds like the music came on a tape deck? And the tape was found in a scrapyard car that had been toasting in the sun for a decade and was about to get compacted? Extreme compression with major artifacts. Nice tunes though, from the grungey upbeat era between butt rock and soft rock. Maybe there were conversion kit options on the cheap that didn't come with the music on a daughterboard?

Just out of curiosity what on average does it cost to ship an arcade game? Granted it depends on ship to location and weight.

I wouldn't think the term serf can't apply to snowboarding.

Surfer surfing is used for surfing the water with surfboards.

I have one of these hooked up to a 50” tv with ntsc board and controller in old coffee table along with 2 joysticks and six button setup with power supply and jamma mounted underneath.
I plug in any of my jamma boards.
Love this game, music is great.
We used to do all our coin op conversions of this game into 33” showcase cabinets and 50” units.
    Thanks for great videos.

I have to admit it’s been a crazy week. I have just sat down with a frosty cold Fosters beer, put my feet up on my favourite crocodile, wiped the sweat from my brow with a vegemite sandwich and patted my pet Kookaburra to contemplate life in the warm glow of this relaxing video. As you well know I am generally wrong about everything, but that’s not necessarily a negative thing. Being wrong sets a consistent expectation, a platform for others to feel superior and a general feeling of content in knowing someone else has all the answers. I don’t need to worry about the scathing tone and furrowed brows as others look down upon my wrong assumptions and actions. This is because I know they are all too happy to point out every wrong thing I have done. This gives me a great sense of contentment that being wrong may just be right (gasp). Stay safe out there friends!
