Hey Brett. I know this is an older video, but I'm in the process of switching from an S8+ to the S10+ and am really trying to get all of my data, apps, media etc. transferred from my old phone to the new phone in one shot and do the steps in the correct order so that the end result will be just like in your video here. The last time I swapped phones I ran into several issues transferring a lot of my personal preferences to the new phone like my home screen layout, folders and apps arrangement etc. I've also run into some issues in the past with data being duplicated or simply left out of the transfer completely.

My question is regarding what order to the steps in to get the same results you were able to get at the end of the video? At the beginning of the video you said that it's a good idea to start by activating your new phone & setting it up first, but when you set up your new phone, part of the process is logging into your google & samsung accounts. Your video started with Samsung switch and after it completed you mentioned that we would need to go into our google and other accounts to complete transferring all of our data & personalized settings to the new phone. So should I follow the same steps, in the exact same order as you did in the video or should I log into my google & samsung accts. at the beginning & activation of my new S10+ & then complete the transfer process using Samsung Switch?

If you could clarify what order I should do each step in to achieve the same results as you, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Question: So after transferring everything from my S7, the data for the individual apps are not part of the transfer?

I doubt you'll see this message but it's worth a try. I'm just confused, is this just a more efficient way to transfer data? If I wanted to I could sign in to certain applications like Gmail or Instagram and get my data like that. Is it just a alternative way to get data from your old device? Appreciate any feedback.

I can not see my audio files on my new phone. I just see my current audio files but not the one from the old phone. Where the old files are located on the new phone? It moves the files to the same folders and combine the old with the new?

I'm moving from a Galaxy S9 plus to a Galaxy S20 Ultra and after I transfer the files I will be trading in the old phone. It needs to be factory reset. Should I make sure the new phone is active on Sprint first?

If I transfer my games from my old phone to the new one, will the games I've played before start over again? Thank you!

Is there an option to transfer without connecting both phones? My micro usb hole on my old phone doesn't connect.
