Played F-1 in the early 80's at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Great video! My only nitpick about this is that the names of the characters in Cutie Q aren't mentioned here, the walking yellow guys are called Walkmen, and the pink ghosts are called Minimon. Other than that, great vid!
Holy fuck I never noticed this video used SiivaGunner music until now.
is there a link to that pac mania music?
F-1's explosions used to petrify me as a youngster as it sat in front of an long-gone arcade in a mall in Calgary, Alberta. Now, as an adult, I love the ingenuity of its workings. Those old electro-logo-mechanical beauties have always enchanted me.
Can you make history of namco
Will Gameshark unlock Cutie Q on other versions of the PS1 collection?
WHAT'S the music at 6:19 ?
Gee Bee Wee Yee.
Not sure if much info exists, but an episode on the Great Giana sisters would probably be a lot of fun (and has likely been suggested a lot already XD)
Fuck me Ibbertson you were one hot piece of ass back in the day.
Bees are so awesome, now I want someone to make a video game actually starring Gee Bee. It's such a fun character design, what with her punching through streets like that! Ah that would be fun in a modern game. 😀
Very interesting.
This is a great video.😆
Games look good. Interesting about Pac-Man. So Dan when is the Pac-Man complete history video coming out?
No please, don't say Pac Man design was based on a pizza, it's proven wrong. And the Puck man changed to PacMan is wrong either…
Anyway, I really like your vids and I'm making a marathon atm
When is Pac-Man complete history coming out?
ya like jazz
Patapon Complete History
Ok so this Iwatani designed the game but Masaya Nakamura is considered the father of Pac-Man because he founded the company?
That Mappy song you used was from SiivaGunner.
I remember that Pac Man World music
4:08 that mappy remix of a song from Super Mario world sounds interesting.
Bomb Bee's cab is a Cocktail cabinet, that thing'd go through a table top.
I liked that song Gee Bees did with Celine Dion
I discovered this channel just today. It went like this. "Oh this guy's videos look cool. I'll watch one before bed….OH MY GOD IT'S BEEN TWO HOURS!…Subscribe.
Woo! Clever way to introduce the Complete History of Pac-Man. I love these videos!
Am I the only one who thinks Gee Bee needs a remake?
Why do you have SiivaGunner music in this video?
What's the music at 6:45?
And here I thought Galaxian was the 1st game brought by Namco, because you sometimes see a Galaxian on Pac Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Rally X (maybe) you name it.
CUTIE Q got an unofficial clone version on the Commodore Vic-20 as just plain PINBALL.
I always wondered as a kid why Vic-20 PINBALL wasn't more like actual pinball (even by early 1980s video game pinball standards), but I didn't know back then that it was essentially just a rip-off of a Japanese arcade game that was only loosely inspired by pinball and wasn't trying to be a pinball simulation. I had fun with it, though.
Namco has to be my favorite retro company, They were so varied and diverse in their products and their arcade games are almost always top notch. also on a side note, you might be my favorite Youtuber, you always talk about the stuff nobody else does and I enjoy watching videos on things I would make videos about but I'm not skilled enough
That original mascot artwork is so good! Shame the bee never made it into the game.
how did you know the video was going to to ten minuets and 51 seconds while recording.
Good stuff as always.
CANNOT wait for the Pac-Man video. I'm sure you'll have some tasty titbits that'll surprise us all. 🙂
Had to pause the video to say this, but thanks for showing me that projector based "F-1" game, that was really, really, extra goddamn cool. I had always wondered how an entirely mechanical video game might work, and I now have my answer. That might be the single coolest thing I've seen in months.
That Pac-Man complete history is going to be a biggun. I suspect that's taken quite a long time to put together, I look forward to it.
Ooh, looking forward to Pac-Man!
Nice video! Pretty interesting, indeed! BTW: Did someone ever told you that you look like Master Higgins in his youth?
There is a lot of things that that I hope you would include in the Pac-Man history video.
great vid slope looking forward to the next!
do you have any idea about what what happened to sunsoft?, i never heared anything about them years
Gee Bee artwork looks like the Hudson Soft boxing bee logo
